Louise Jalbert is an artist whose drawings, paintings, and collages are a meditation on nature, the energy that springs from it and the resonance it creates deep within us.
The artist has a degree in Visual Arts from Université Laval, Québec, and a Master’s degree in painting at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, France. Her work has been shown in Montreal and the area, and can be found in several private collections in Canada, France and the United States.
Louise is the author and illustrator of a children’s tale, The Radish and the Shoe. The story inspired a suite for narrator and orchestra by New-Zealand composer Andrew Perkins.
She lives and works on the south shore of Montreal.
